One of the main reasons I think young people leave the Church is in search of themselfs. This I think is normal, we all need to know who we were and not be defind by our parents and or our church. The mistake I think that is made is the believe that we can know ourselfs apart from God. This we can not do. Every young person must be taught that knowing God is the being of knowing themselves. We must first understand why we are before we can understand who we are. And the whys can only be answer by GOD.
The second reason I think our youth leave the Church is that we in the church push them out. I don't think we do it on purpose but we do it just the same. We push our youth out by not being there for them, what I mean by that is we want them to be some one that they are not. but we are no longer help them to become who they will be while accepting them where they are at. Young people need to be love at all levels of their growth and sometime as they are dealing...

I have been thinking a lot about the state of the church and the young people that attend. By young people i mean those between the age 16 thru 25. This group are in the bigest danger of leving God or believeing a lie, At this time in life they began to question everything they have been taught growing up, Young people begain to ask "is it true". They need more than mom said ,or dad said, or even pastor said. They need to know it is true. We adults are little perpare to answer the tough questions. Like: if the earth is millions of years old than why does the bible only cover about six thousands years?.or what is worng with being gay anyway etc. etc. etc. We fail to give them answers that make sense. That strength their faith in GOD and helps them to grow in their relatship with GOD. While the false religions have their answer though out, spell out ,and worded in such a way as to make them sound right. We in leadersip in the church must step up to the plate and find the answer (if we don't know them) and give them in a way that perpares our...
