Phillip Edwards was born May 21, 1963.  He lived a life that would best be  characterized as normal; that is until one Easter Sunday night when he gave his life to Christ and received the in filling of the Holy Spirit.  At the tender age of 17, he began working with his peers and those younger to help them be all that they could be not just in the Lord but in life. It soon became clear that he had a gift for working with youth and a love for what he was doing. He started two small groups "Study in the Word" and "Team for Christ".  What he found in these young people started the vision for Catch the Fire Ministries.  He found that the youth not only wanted to know Christ; they also wanted to know themselves.  This understanding led him to work in a larger capacity with the Power Hope & Grace Church. First as a planning board member, then as assistance youth chairmen, then Chairman. Finally accepted God's call to the ministery in 2005. Although receiving  a measure of success his heart still yearned to do more to help not just the youth but the whole family.  In May of 1995 with the support of his wife and pastor and a host of family and friends Catch the fire Youth and Family Life Ministry Inc. was born.

Vivian Edwards has shared in marriage and ministry with her husband for over 25 years, Vivian is a licensed minister and a powerful speaker and teacher. She has worked with National Marriage Encounter, Served as teach and developer of training programs for new believers. Worked as Admintrative Director at Power, Hope & Grace bible church.  Vivian has worked with her husband in prision ministry, outreach,youth and marriage ministry. She is a proven leader both in the business world and the Church.
